Clara Delfina is an Old-Time and Country musician who grew up in Northern California and now calls Washington D.C. home. She plays fiddle, guitar, banjo, and sings, drawing influence from folk music from across the world, and combining original pieces and traditional or classic country favourites.
Having grown up steeped in traditional music from America and the British Isles, Clara's songwriting and performing is deeply influenced by the sounds and stories of the past. A natural born country singer, Clara has been compared to the likes of Hazel Dickens, Gillian Welch, and Connie Smith. She's an experienced square dance fiddler and performing artist. Her creative and wild spirit lends itself effortlessly to a wide range of fiddle styles and draws a beautifully raw sound from traditional music and Country music alike. Clara just released an album with her band Clara & the Broken Barrel Stringband, and has toured nationally and internationally, playing a variety of square dances, house concerts, private parties, weddings, as well as small and larger venue shows.
